Mike Brasch brings elite insight and irreplaceable knowledge to Backstop Catching from some of the top strength and conditioning programs in the country.

The Chanhassen, MN native began his journey in Strength and Conditioning as an intern at Winona State from 2012-2015. While at Winona State, Mike streamlined his knowledge and network by accepting and learning through internships. Mike spent time with The University of Wisconsin (2014), The University of Iowa (2015) and The University of Minnesota (2016) before accepting a graduate assistant strength and conditioning position with Minnesota State University Mankato. His findings would be published in the International Journal of Exercise Science.

In 2017, Mike got the opportunity to join professional baseball. He became a Physical Performance coach in the Colorado Rockies Organization. Mike used that experience at his next home, Northern Illinois University, where he was named the Assistant Director of Sports Performance. Mike stayed at Northern Illinois from 2017-2019 until he accepted his position with Mash Performance.
